Science Horizons proudly participated in the “Cultivating Young Climate Champions” initiative in partnership with Eco Resilience Network (EReN), For Betterment Foundation, and the Nairobi County Government.
The Cultivating Young Climate Champions Initiative is a 12-month school-based environmental program launched in January 2026 by Eco Resilience Network (EReN) in partnership with organizations, schools, and community stakeholders committed to climate action and sustainability in Kenya.
The initiative focuses on creating climate awareness, environmental education, tree planting, and promoting climate action in schools across the country. Through interactive learning sessions and hands-on environmental activities, students are empowered to become active climate champions within their schools and communities.
The activity held today involved climate education sessions and the planting of indigenous tree seedlings aimed at promoting environmental conservation and strengthening urban green spaces.
This initiative reflects a shared commitment to building a more sustainable and climate-resilient future by empowering young people with knowledge, leadership, and practical environmental action.
