Join the PLANT capacity-building programme
Science Horizons Kenya is inviting 30 VET teachers in Kenya to take part in a six-day capacity-building programme under the PLANT Erasmus+ project.
The programme is aimed at teachers working in VET who want to strengthen how they teach, exchange experience with other educators and explore practical ways of connecting training with the needs of the agrifood sector.
About the programme
The agrifood sector is changing, and VET institutions need to keep pace with those changes. This includes how practical skills are taught, how digital tools are used and how learners are prepared for employment and entrepreneurship.
Through PLANT, teachers will have space to work through these issues together, share what is already working in their institutions and look at approaches that can be adapted to the Kenyan VET context.
What can you expect?
The programme will give participants the chance to:
- Try out new approaches that can be used in their own teaching.
- Work through practical examples and learning activities.
- Exchange experiences with other VET teachers.
- Look at ways of making training more relevant to agrifood businesses and the labour market.
- Build professional relationships that can continue beyond the programme.
- Take ideas and resources back to their institutions.
The focus is on practical learning and exchange, rather than classroom theory alone.
Who can apply?
The call is open to VET teachers in Kenya who are currently involved in teaching or training and have an interest in agrifood education, skills development or related areas.
We are looking for teachers who are willing to participate actively throughout the programme and share their experience with others.
